EINSTEIN DOG
Bertrand Smith and Einstein are more than best friends. JOSH & THE MAGIC VIAL
Josh Dempster and Millie Epp are drawn into a mysterious netherworld when the witch Endorathlil identifies him as heir to the throne of Syde. Vortigen, the powerful Prince of Syde, needs a human companion on the 'dual throne' to establish his unfettered rule on earth. With the help of streetwise Ian Lyttle and Inspector Puddifant Josh engages in a contest of epic proportions in this BC Book Prize nominated story.

OVERBOARD
Nathan and Katrina discover way more than they bargain for when they practice their sleuthing skills on a mysterious woman aboard the Spirit of British Columbia. The woman vanishes, then is reported as having fallen overboard on the evening news. Finding out what happened to her sends them on a trail of intrigue and deception as they encounter the seamier side of life in the picture-postcard city of Victoria.

BLOWDOWN
Inspired by the devastating winter storm that flattened much of Stanley Park in December, 2006, this story weaves together mythical and contemporary themes in search of the modern spirit of the sea, the sky and the land. It looks through the gloom and desolation of an aftermath toward the glorious shafts of sunlight that eventually pierce the clouds.

RUB-A-DUB-DUB
Ever wonder how the famous Nanaimo International Bathtub Race came into being. Rub-a-Dub-Dub takes us on a whimsical and highly improbable (but very funny) retrospective to the origins of the event. It all comes down to a besotted pie thief, an outraged pie maker, a man and his dog, a bag piper and a cop who end up in a high seas drama that has evolved into an annual world class attraction.
